El argumento de que «llamar a la Biblia contradictoria es llamar a la palabra de Dios, palabra contradictoria,» es solo una táctica para proteger estos cambios históricos. Al cuestionar el respeto por Dios que tenga el denunciante que apunta a las contradicciones, se busca invalidar cualquier análisis crítico que él realice y evitar que se descubran las manipulaciones y falsificaciones históricas introducidas por influencias externas, como el Imperio Romano.
